Pendulum was appointed to facilitate a 6-month strategic PR campaign to announce a major $77 million renovation for Sofitel Sydney Wentworth with positioning as the rebirth of a Sydney icon to national, metro and local media. This encompassed 4 major media announcements including a coming soon, their hospitality partnership, a targeted MICE media announcement and the hotel launch and reopening.
15 individual media hostings were secured once the hotel was open for review purposes to generate continuous results, including The Weekend Australian, Gourmet Traveller, Sydney Morning Herald Traveller, Qantas Magazine, Daily Telegraph Escape, AFR, News.com.au and Sydney Morning Herald Good Weekend Magazine. Coverage encompassed hotel, MICE and travel trade, DNSW, Tourism Australia and all key major travel and lifestyle consumer publications.
